In order to gain credibility with internal and external partners, it is imperative for HR to understand and speak the business of their organization. By providing guidance, technical expertise, and talent strategy, HR can win organizational credibility as well as add unique value. Of course, it's easier said than done. Becoming a true business partner requires a demonstration of knowledge, discretion, and a dose of patience in order to gain the trust and respect of individuals and teams. In this session, two organizations share how they are successfully using HR Business Partners (HRBPs) at both the corporate level and regionally. The headlines are everywhere, there's a new way to approach performance management. What has been standard practice in most organizations is beginning to fade away, as the call for reform grows louder by the week. Learn how Pact is radically changing their performance management framework, scaling back on documentation, and dropping ratings and rankings. The new emphasis is on increasing real-time dialogue about performance: old-fashioned, eyeball-to-eyeball conversations that result in managers and staff exchanging meaningful insights that lead to improved performance. Performance management should and can drive performance and organizational results. HR is poised to create a system that engages everyone, boosts organizational results, and creates a strategic advantage.

Are Benefits Sabotaging Your Total Rewards Strategy?

Jul 13, 2016 1:15pm ‐ Jul 13, 2016 2:15pm

Identification: WE30

Too often NGOs will evaluate benefit plans individually, looking at medical plans in one year and retirement offerings another year. Reviewing plans individually may work in the short term to address immediate needs but limits your ability to consider your full benefits program holistically. Are you over-investing in one benefit and under-investing in another? Do you know how to quantify the total value of your rewards package? How do you know your broker is providing your organization a complete program that complements your total reward strategy? This session will provide guidance on understanding how to achieve your total rewards goals by maximizing your investment in benefits.
